ICCU and HDU
The Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) at Remedy Super specialty Hospital is configured for patients who need continuous monitoring & advanced medical and nursing care. We have the best ICCU in Kolkata. Our ICCU rooms are equipped with the most cutting-edge technology for high-quality patient care, including cardiac monitoring and management of ventilator patients.
ICCU may also provide telehealth services in various fields, including cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, and mental health. With the help of the on-site nursing staff, telehealth services use a monitor/webcam to enable the physician to see, diagnose, and communicate with the patient from off-site locations. Patients may also use telehealth equipment to contact family members who live too far away to meet in person.
A High Dependency Unit, or HDU, is a section of a hospital, normally near the intensive care unit, where patients can receive more intense care than on a regular ward, but not to the point of intensive care. It is suitable for patients who have undergone major surgery or who have single-organ failure. Patients may be admitted to an HDU bed if they are at risk of requiring intensive care admission, or as a step-down between intensive care & ward-based care.
Remedy Super specialty Hospital offers a transitional High Dependency Unit (HDU) for patients who need close monitoring, medication, and nursing care that cannot be given on a general care floor, but whose care is not essential enough to warrant an ICU bed. These units are used until the patient's condition has stabilized to the point that they can be discharged to a general care floor. We have the best HDU in Kolkata. Depending on the severity of their disease, people spend different lengths of time in HDU.
